MAP – CSR System

 

Managing and Prioritizing Complex Stakeholder Relationships

 

In order to survive and prosper most major business, civil or military initiatives necessitate the support of multiple stakeholders and stakeholder groups.  It is about identifying the core needs, goals, fears, and motivations of every key party and managing that information for strategic and tactical success.

 

80% of an organizations knowledge capital is stored in the brains of their people.  When these people move on or are not communicating with the rest of team there is a loss of curial information about stakeholders, their preferences, agendas and level of support for our organizational initiatives.  The MAP - CSR system is in essence a “Stakeholder Knowledge Management Program,” designed to increase the overall organizational knowledge and insight into these critical complex relationships.

 

Simply put, it enables everyone on the ground to more effectively gain the support of the community power players and their people by having a more in-depth and organized map of every influencer in the community network.  It is also an easy to understand system that can be taught to another team or cohort in the event of a hand-over ensuring that no mission momentum is lost.

 

Program Objectives:

 

  • To create a common language within military units, common language and labels make communications and decision making more efficient and accurate

 

  • To put a map of the entire stakeholder web and buy-in level in the hands of the entire team:
    • allowing them to make decisions better knowing how they will affect the entire map and mission
    • each of them understanding how they can better contribute to each others objectives
    • giving them the insight to identify information or “gems” that might otherwise be overlooked
    • creating clarity around which tasks are most critical each day to garner stakeholder support and buy-in
